Alternative Fuel
Recycling Equipment
Worldwide companies are searching for ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, decrease their carbon footprint, and switch to renewable energy sources. At the same time, we are facing a waste management crisis. Landfills are filling up with our non-biodegradable refuse, and the oceans are becoming contaminated with microplastics. These problems seem insurmountable, but at ECO Green Equipment, we are helping companies and countries worldwide tackle both issues with a single solution – recycling.
While many clients use our equipment to shred end-of-life tires, our tire recycling machinery is capable of shredding various waste products to transform our overabundance of waste into alternative fuel sources. Recycling plants can use our alternative fuel recycling equipment to turn last week’s trash into this week’s fuel source.
The New Face of Alternative Fuel
Solar panels, rechargeable batteries, and wind farms are all great ways to provide clean energy and decrease our reliance on fossil fuels. However, they are not the only options. The saying that one man’s trash is another man’s treasure has never been more true than it is today. The garbage produced in the United States, which totaled 292.4 million tons of municipal solid waste (MSW) in 2018, is a largely untapped energy resource.
Tire-derived Fuel (TDF)
The target of ECO Green’s recycling efforts since 2001, worn tires continue to be a significant environmental and health hazard. They are a breeding ground for disease-carrying pests and leach toxic chemicals into the environment, which is why building durable, reliable tire shredders is our mission. Because almost half of recycled tires become TDF, a fuel source the EPA recognizes as a viable alternative to fossil fuels, we recognize the importance of providing the best TDF shredders to allow recyclers to meet the growing market demand for this alternative fuel source.
Refuse-derived Fuel (RDF)
Produced from municipal solid waste (MSW), RDF is an alternative to traditional fossil fuels produced from discarded paper, plastics, cardboard, textiles, and other waste. After undergoing sorting, shredding, screening, and magnetic separation, the waste is dried, ensuring hotter and more reliable burning. Used primarily in cement plants, power plants, and lime plants, RDF is an exciting waste-to-energy solution that allows companies to use commercial and industrial waste as a fuel source, keeping waste out of landfills and reducing their dependence on coal or wood.
While not a common source of energy within the United States yet, we have the equipment to enable recycling and waste management companies nationwide to produce RDF, including RDF shredders, conveying and screening equipment, as well as magnets and control centers.
Solid Recovered Fuel (SRF)
Produced from MSW, SRF is a more refined version of RDF. One that countries such as the UK, Netherlands, and Germany are already leveraging as an alternative energy source.
It is produced from the same waste materials, but SRF undergoes a more rigorous sorting process than RDF, removing all non-combustibles and hazardous waste. This thorough sorting process makes certain that the end product is more uniform and contains a higher calorific content than RDF.
Because it is a high-efficiency energy source, SRF is an excellent alternative fuel source for cement kilns and industrial plants. However, it is also fit for use in household waste incinerators that are publicly owned. Our SRF shredders and screening equipment allow recyclers to process waste to meet the higher standards customers expect from SRF.
Why Choose ECO Green Equipment?
Recycling is great for the environment and the future of the planet. But, it is also a business. A business that must be profitable to survive. At ECO Green Equipment, our passion for doing the right thing for the environment includes doing the right thing for our customers. This is why we set the bar high for every piece of alternative fuel recycling equipment we sell.
Innovation
Waste recycling is not new, but that does not mean that we should use the same methods and processes from decades past. Boosting your bottom line means finding new and improved ways to shred, sort, and screen waste materials to produce a superior product. We are dedicated to discovering new ways to help our customers recycle better and faster.
Durability
Down time is the plague of the recycling industry. When your equipment isn’t working, you aren’t making money. ECO Green Equipment helps you maximize operating time. We seek ways to increase the useful life of wearable parts. Installing knife blades in our shredders that have six cutting edges and the ability to sharpen each side once is just one way we increase operating time.
Lower Costs
Operating and maintenance costs can reduce your profits as a waste recycling company. Alternative fuel recycling equipment that costs less to operate and maintain will lower your expenses to help you build a profitable business that is helping to solve our global climate crisis.
Serviceability
Inevitably, recycling machinery will need servicing. We strive to make maintenance straightforward. Our equipment designs make the most often serviced parts easily accessible for routine maintenance, decreasing downtime.
Efficiency
Your recycling plant can only produce alternative fuel products as fast as your equipment can process waste. Shredders like the ECO Green Giant’s double shaft design enable it to process up to 30 metric tons of tires per hour to 6-inch minus shreds or 15 metric tons of 2-6-inch shreds.
Global Support
We stand behind the equipment that we sell our clients. Our multicultural and bi-lingual team of experts can help you with your equipment questions and needs regardless of where you are located worldwide.
Our future and the future of your business rests on our ability to work together to develop the best tools and processes for harnessing our alternative energy resources. We are dedicated to helping you be successful in your venture to use waste to fuel a brighter future. Contact ECO Green Equipment to learn more about our recycling equipment line and how we can help you find the best fit for your recycling business.
